The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved acupuncture needles for use by licensed practitioners in 1996. Keren is a certified Clean Needle Technique practitioner and only uses the highest grade, sterile, nontoxic, one-time use needles for treatment.
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
You may fill out the forms detailing your medical history or speak to Keren prior to your first treatment. Keren insists all clients are monitored by their primary health care practitioners and is clear that acupuncture does not replace Western medicine. She can achieve optimal results by complimenting physician’s treatments. Dress in loose, comfortable clothing, or she will provide something for you to change into.
How long will the treatment take?
On average, treatment lasts between 30 minutes to two hours. The first meeting is usually longer as Keren will work with you to design a treatment plan. Keren runs her clinic based on the needs of each client. If you prefer a short treatment, she can accommodate. If you want to have double treatment, body work or include additional modalities, it will take longer. Based on your needs, goals and desires, she will come up with the best plan to suit you.
How many treatments will I need?
Generally, three treatments will help achieve significant results for acute conditions. More chronic issues can take longer, but you should feel a difference as each treatment builds on the previous one. Often a client will come in with a specific complaint, and after beginning treatment, may discover that there are other issues to address. Keren will be in constant communication about what she is doing and how to best proceed to give you optimal results and satisfaction.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the treatment plan but please contact Keren to discuss.
